Infrastructure Properties and Planning Information Technology (IPP-IT) serves as stewards of IPP and Human Resources & Safety Services' IT resources, data resources, and policies. IPP-IT is comprised of Computing Services and Programming Services.
Computing Services is comprised of two groups: Computer Support and Systems Administration. Computer Support provides comprehensive desktop support for the divisions of IPP and HR&SS and maintains over 800 workstations, manages desktop deployments and the IT procurement, and coordinates with IT@Cornell. Systems Administration provides network services, server management, application and system support, and security for the divisions of IPP and HR&SS. They supports over 80 physical and virtual servers and numerous systems and applications.
Programming Services' main focus is the development and maintenance of specialized software systems that support the operations of the division of Infrastructure Properties and Planning. Many of these systems integrate with each other or external systems such as Kuali, Registrar, and PeopleSoft, to name a few. within Programming Services, the Building Automation and Controls Systems Integration (BACSI) team supports the EMCS in all its facets including design, installation, networking, user interfaces, databases and operations.
