To develop, maintain, and enhance a secure, reliable, and innovative computing, network, and administrative systems environment.

Facilities Services Information Technology (FS-IT) serves as stewards of Facilities Services and Human Resources & Safety Services' IT resources, data resources, and policies.  FS-IT is comprised of Computing Services, Application Management, Programming Services, and BACSI.

Computing Services is comprised of two groups:  Computer Support and Systems Administration.  Computer Support provides comprehensive desktop support for the divisions of Facilities Services and Human Resources & Safety Services and maintains over 800 workstations, manages desktop deployments and the IT procurement, and coordinates with IT@Cornell.  Systems Administration provides network services, server management, application and system support, and security for the divisions of Facilities Services and Human Resources & Safety Services. They supports over 80 physical and virtual servers and numerous systems and applications.

Application Management supports the use of SharePoint and other specialized application needs.

Programming Services' main focus is the development and maintenance of specialized software systems that support the operations of the division of Facilities Services.  Many of these systems integrate with each other or external systems such as Kuali, Registrar, and PeopleSoft, to name a few.

The Building Automation and Controls Systems Integration (BACSI) group has, historically, been called "Energy Management and Control System (EMCS) Management" since their major task has been to support the EMCS in all its facets including design, installation, networking, user interfaces, databases and operations.
