To develop, maintain, and enhance a secure, reliable, and innovative computing, network, and administrative systems environment.

Information Technology Services is comprised of distinct groups: Computer and Network Support (CNS), Programming Services, and departmental IT personnel.

Computer and Network Support provides comprehensive computer support, network services, server management, security, and coordination with CIT. Currently, we support Facilities Services, Risk Management & Public Safety, CUFA Human Resource Development Services, and CUFA Accounting & Financial Services. With its wide range of expertise in new and emerging technologies, CNS plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the departments it supports. CNS supports over 750 workstations, 45 servers, and numerous systems.

Programming Services' main focus is the development and maintenance of specialized software systems that support the operations of the division of Facilities Services and other Cornell facilities staff. Various other staff benefit from our services. We take digital security seriously: we control access in a manner that is convenient to the end users while ensuring the privacy and integrity of the information we are presenting. Most of these systems integrate with each other or external systems such as APPS, Accounting, TMA, Registrar, Staff Directory, to name a few.

Departmental IT personnel in Utilities & Energy Management and Planning, Design & Construction are dedicated to core mission IT initiatives within their respective units.
